Dr. Charity Clay is a Millennial Black Studies scholar and Storyteller in the tradition of giants like W.E.B. DuBois and Ida B. Wells. She operates through HipHop’s 5th element of Knowledge as praxis and pedagogy. She provides social commentary on current conditions, artistic offerings that celebrate the cultural heritage of African descended people, and teaches political education necessary for those engaged in the Black Freedom Struggle.

She is a master teacher who welcomes students of all ages, learning styles and levels. She centers self-awareness, rigorous scholarly investigation and community engagement as the foundation of knowledge as she herself remains a vigilant student
